About the Serbian New Year

About the Serbian New Year

The Serbian New Year is celebrated on the 14th of January and is a tradition that is still widely spread among Serbian folks not just in Serbia, but also in the neighbouring countries with notable Serbian population (Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Croatia).

Although the country uses officially the Gregorian calendar and the common known New year as known in rest of Europe and western world is the major event, the tradition to celebrate the Serbian New year still holds up among the people as a influence of the past and the Julian calendar that the Serbian orthodox Church uses.

Concerts with native and folk music are held at city plazas in major cities and although the rest of Europe is already in working mode, in Serbia this day is still very much festive.

So if you are still not in the mood to work and in for some cultural experience there is one more opportunity for a hangover and a great night out.

As always, we will be available to accompany you with a professional driver and a luxury limo so you could avoid any unforeseen inconveniences.

Please do book in front as the schedules on these days are always very tight.

We will be happy to serve you.
